Lets talk about claiming at the doctor’s...

Register your bank account details with us today

Do you have too much to do, but too little time to do it? Would you like to save yourself a trip to a Medicare office? If you answered yes, you’ll be happy to know that many doctors now offer on the spot claiming after you’ve paid your account. On the spot claiming is quick, easy, secure and convenient, so register your bank account details with us today.

How does it work?

If your doctor offers on the spot claiming, practice staff can either lodge your claim with us through a secure internet connection or through the surgery’s EFTPOS terminal using your EFTPOS card. Both claiming systems are simple to use and offer the convenience of claiming your rebate at the doctor’s.

If your doctor uses the internet claiming system, your rebate is paid directly into your nominated cheque or savings account within two to three working days. Registering your bank account details with us beforehand will make it even easier. Registering your bank account details with us means there's no need for you to give this information to practice staff each time you claim at the doctor's. Your details are only used to make payments to you and are stored with the highest level of security.

If your doctor uses the EFTPOS based claiming system—using your EFTPOS card—your rebate is paid into your nominated cheque or savings account almost immediately. All you need to do is take your Medicare and EFTPOS cards with you each time you visit the doctor.

Many doctors now offer on the spot claiming. Ask the practice staff if they offer on the spot claiming next time you visit your doctor
